Does Your Skin Need A Burst Of Moisture?

Sometimes your skin could just do with an instant hit of moisture! Be it your legs, your face or your arms, all your skin needs moisturizing. Shaving can often strip the skin on your legs of moisture, so if you shave regularly, your legs are probably crying out for some much needed moisture!

Moisture spritz
Moisture spritzers are an excellent accessory to have in your bag at all times to give your skin an immediate freshen up and hit of moisture. If it’s a hot day or your skin is beginning to feel a bit dry, then you can simple take out your spritzer and give your face a freshen up. Vitamin E spritzer is always a good choice as well as anything Aloe Vera based.

Body lotion
Body lotion has a different composition to that of facial moisturizer making it richer and perfect for the tougher, thicker skin on your body. After you have shaven your legs or arms, you should always apply a body lotion or moisturizer to look after the area and keep it from getting dry. If you shave your bikini line, it’s a good idea to use a special cream/gel for this sensitive area, as this is also prone to dryness.

Invest in a humidifier
Quite often the air in our homes can be dry and lacking in moisture due to indoor heating. These indoor conditions can wreak havoc on your skin and leave it dry and tight. Investing in a good humidifier will add moisture back into the air and your skin will thank you for it. It won’t be dry or taught and will remain moisturized and soft.

Grab the water
You are what you eat, or drink! Everyone tends to drink less water in the winter because it’s a time for hot drinks like cocoa, tea, and hot desserts of course. However, you shouldn’t forget that your skin needs hydration from the inside too. A little warm water with lemon can be very refreshing and hydrating at the same time. Make sure you are drinking at least 8 glasses of water every day.

Create a moisturizing facemask from home
If you are at home and feel like your skin is dry and tight, then you can treat it to a super-indulgent homemade facemask to add an instant burst of moisture. A moisturizing mask is simple to make. All you need is some honey mixed in with some natural yogurt and some almond oil. Mix together and leave on your face for around 10-15 minutes. Wash off and then enjoy your beautifully soft, moisturized skin.

Adding instant moisture to your skin with the correct products isn’t hard. A little bit of time and effort can go a long way, but you need to remember you must look after it on the inside, as well as the outside, for a beautiful glow all year long.
